Discovering Little Wonders and Creating Fragrant Essential Oils
On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the Aroma Workshop at the Museum of Garden Culture in Illertissen will open its doors for curious children and families. Under the motto Little Wonders, young explorers will gain exciting insights into the world of plants and experience how wonderfully fragrant essential oils are created from fresh and dried flowers and leaves.
Exploring the Plant World with All Senses
Looking at flowers, discovering leaves, and perceiving different scents: This family experience appeals to children in a particularly sensory way. In the Aroma Workshop, natural materials turn into a tangible result. The children actively assist in the production of the essential oils and experience how something special is created from small plant parts.
Child-Friendly Learning Fun in the Aroma Workshop
The interactive offering combines curiosity, creativity, and knowledge about nature. Children observe, compare, and discover what characteristics fresh and dried flowers and leaves possess. The practical learning experience supports age-appropriate development of attention, perception, and sense of responsibility in dealing with plants.
Quality Time for Families
While the children are being active themselves, parents and caregivers experience the excitement and wonder up close. Children's laughter, new scents, and experimenting together create a warm atmosphere for valuable family time. The action day invites everyone to not only look at nature but to explore it with all senses.
Important Visitor Information
The event takes place on October 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is free. Since participation is limited, prior registration is required. This gives families the opportunity to plan their visit in a relaxed manner and participate in a supervised interactive offering in the Aroma Workshop.
