The Restaurant & Biergarten Klosterhof in Ulm-Söflingen combines Swabian cuisine, a large beer garden, and a location that is easy to remember: right in the historic Klosterhof, but pleasantly relaxed and green. Those looking for a restaurant nearby, a restaurant in Ulm, or a beer garden will find a place here that feels down-to-earth, family-friendly, and versatile. The official site describes the Klosterhof as a meeting point for relaxed hours under chestnuts and linden trees, with regional ingredients, seasonal dishes, and a tranquil garden character. This image is complemented by the special surroundings of Söflingen, which is described by the city of Ulm and the state of Baden-Württemberg as a historically shaped district with a strong character. ([klosterhofulm.de](https://klosterhofulm.de/))

For the search intent of a restaurant nearby now open, it is particularly important that the Klosterhof provides clear information on opening hours, reservations, and directions. This creates a profile that combines classic gastronomy with an authentic sense of place: Swabian, regional, uncomplicated, and in a district that breathes history itself. This very mix makes the Klosterhof interesting for guests who want to not only eat in Ulm but also consciously stop by. ([klosterhofulm.de](https://klosterhofulm.de/))

Restaurant in Ulm: Location, Atmosphere, and Why the Klosterhof Stands Out

The Klosterhof is located in Söflingen, in the west of Ulm, at a place that is much more than just an address for food and drink. The state of Baden-Württemberg describes the Klosterhof Söflingen as the cultural heart of a district with its own character. Where the Clarissan monastery was founded in 1258, historical buildings, green paths, and everyday life meet today. The description of this excursion destination mentions a baroque building stock, the monastery church, the rectory, and the historic monastery mill. This backdrop gives the Restaurant and Biergarten Klosterhof a special depth, as the visit feels not interchangeable but rooted in the place and grown. So, those looking for a restaurant in Ulm get not only cuisine here but also a strongly shaped urban space with history and atmosphere. ([www1.bwegt.de](https://www1.bwegt.de/land-und-leute/das-land-erleben/ausflugsziele/detail/kloster-ulm/klosterhof-soeflingen/a052ca66-64ab-48a5-b5fa-bae3c9016dd7))

This makes the Klosterhof interesting for various occasions. For spontaneous visits as well as planned family gatherings, for lunch as well as for long summer evenings. The official website addresses this and describes the beer garden as a place to arrive, breathe, and enjoy. Under chestnuts and linden trees, guests sit on cozy monastery benches, the surroundings remain open and friendly, and the garden is designed so that one does not feel cramped. This is a significant difference from many classic downtown locations: Here, the staging is not in the foreground, but rather a calm, honest hospitality. In combination with the regional cuisine, a profile emerges that appeals to both local guests and visitors from outside who are looking for a restaurant with a beer garden in Ulm that remains understandable, authentic, and uncomplicated. Opening Hours, Reservations, and Restaurant Nearby Now Open

For many search queries, it is not only important what a restaurant offers but especially when it is open. The info page of the Klosterhof clearly states that Mondays are a day off. From Tuesday to Friday, the Klosterhof is open from 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM, on Saturdays from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and on Sundays also from 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM. There are also separate kitchen hours that differ from the regular restaurant hours. So, if someone is looking for a restaurant nearby now open, they can easily coordinate the times with their own daily schedule. This is especially helpful for lunch, afternoon visits, or dinner, as one does not have to research for a long time but knows directly which day of the week offers which options. ([klosterhofulm.de](https://klosterhofulm.de/info/))

Regarding reservations, the Klosterhof is also clearly structured. A table can be requested online through the website, but the booking only becomes binding after confirmation. For planned visits, the establishment recommends reservations at least one day in advance; for last-minute requests on the same day, the website mentions calling directly at the restaurant. This mix is pleasant for guests as it supports both spontaneous visits and secure planning. In practice, this means: Those specifically searching for opening hours restaurant Ulm, reservation restaurant Ulm, or restaurant near me will find at the Klosterhof a website that closes exactly this information gap. This is not spectacular but very user-friendly. And especially for a location with a beer garden and family audience, reliability is a crucial factor. ([klosterhofulm.de](https://klosterhofulm.de/))

Swabian Cuisine at Klosterhof: Dinnete, Maultaschen, and Seasonal Cuisine

The kitchen is the actual heart of the Klosterhof. The official website emphasizes Swabian classics, freshly prepared and conceived with regional partners. Dinnete, homemade Maultaschen, Swabian roast beef, and schnitzel are mentioned. In addition, seasonal dishes change throughout the year: asparagus in spring, mushrooms and game in autumn, pumpkin in the cooler season. For the search terms Swabian cuisine Ulm, Maultaschen Ulm, Dinnete Ulm, and roast beef Ulm, this is exactly the type of offering that is sought. It is not about an arbitrary food profile but about dishes that are rooted in the region and at the same time offer enough variety for repeated visits. ([klosterhofulm.de](https://klosterhofulm.de/))

It is also interesting how the kitchen is presented. The restaurant focuses on down-to-earth products that are served with joy and describes the collaboration with regional suppliers as a conscious decision for quality, origin, and craftsmanship. The website also mentions that the dishes are served on traditional stoneware plates and pots, and the drinks are freshly tapped from a high-quality tap system. This is not a grand staging but a credible indication that authenticity is valued here. For many guests, this is precisely the difference between an interchangeable local and a restaurant they return to. So, if someone is looking for a place where regional cuisine, honest portions, and a relaxed setting come together, they will find a very clear positioning at the Klosterhof. The menu does not thrive on effects but on familiarity, seasonality, and a kitchen that does not hide its origins. ([klosterhofulm.de](https://klosterhofulm.de/))

Beer Garden in Söflingen: Family Area, Shaded Spots, and Winter Market

The beer garden is not just an addition to the restaurant at the Klosterhof but a central part of the experience. The website describes it as a meeting point in the middle of Söflingen, where one can spend relaxed hours under chestnuts and linden trees. The seats are organized on cozy monastery benches, and the atmosphere is deliberately kept casual. For the search for beer garden Ulm or beer garden Söflingen, this is exactly what is attractive: a place where one sits outside, but not in an arbitrary outdoor area, but in a grown, pleasantly shaded setting. Because the garden is large, it is suitable for families as well as for smaller groups or longer summer evenings with friends. ([klosterhofulm.de](https://klosterhofulm.de/))

Particularly helpful for families is the dedicated play area. The official description explicitly states that children can play, climb, and explore there while the area remains easily visible. This creates calm for adults and safety for parents without the family aspect needing to be artificially emphasized. Additionally, there is the winter market, where the beer garden transforms during the winter months. There is self-service, separate areas for food and drinks, hot beverages like mulled wine, cold drinks, as well as winter specialties and hearty snacks. This makes the Klosterhof interesting even outside the warm season. Those looking for a location that offers a beer garden in summer and a cozy meeting place in winter will find here a place with a clear identity and seasonal benefits. This adaptability makes the Klosterhof particularly attractive for repeat visits. ([klosterhofulm.de](https://klosterhofulm.de/))

Directions to Klosterhof Söflingen: Tram Line 1 and the Historic District

The journey to the Klosterhof is an important part of the user experience because many guests find the restaurant not only through the cuisine but also through the location. The city of Ulm describes a beautiful route from tram line 1, final stop Söflingen. From there, it goes to the community square and further to the Klosterhof with the blue canal and historical references. This route description shows that the location is very well embedded in the district and can be easily reached by public transport. So, those looking for restaurant Ulm Söflingen or an uncomplicated arrival will find here a clear orientation. The combination of public transport access and historical surroundings is significantly more pleasant for many guests than an anonymous street location. ([ulm.de](https://www.ulm.de/leben-in-ulm/umwelt-energie-entsorgung/lokale-agenda-ulm-21/unterwegs-in-ulm/soeflingen))

Bwegt also emphasizes that the Klosterhof Söflingen is easily accessible by bus and train. Furthermore, the district is described as a place with a strong character, where history and present intertwine closely. This very mix explains why the Klosterhof does not feel like a random excursion restaurant but like a destination with its own profile. For visitors who want to experience Ulm not only as a city center but also as a grown district, Söflingen provides a particularly suitable setting. The way to the Klosterhof leads not only to a gastronomy but through a culturally charged place with a historic courtyard, blue canal, and baroque surroundings. For the search intent of a restaurant nearby, this is more than just geography: it is an indication that the journey itself can become part of the experience. ([www1.bwegt.de](https://www1.bwegt.de/land-und-leute/das-land-erleben/ausflugsziele/detail/kloster-ulm/klosterhof-soeflingen/a052ca66-64ab-48a5-b5fa-bae3c9016dd7))

Celebrations at Klosterhof: Capacity, Gatherings, and Practical Tips

The Klosterhof is not only interesting for spontaneous restaurant visits but also for celebrations. The official website states that there is space for up to 250 people in the beer garden and for celebrations of up to 45 people in the restaurant. This covers very different sizes of gatherings. Small birthdays, company parties, or a summer festival can find a framework here, as well as larger gatherings that are intentionally to take place outside. The website also mentions that the framework can be designed individually and uncomplicated, from a grill buffet to a festive menu. This flexibility is important for event inquiries as it shows that the establishment can think beyond standard gastronomy and also organize events. ([klosterhofulm.de](https://klosterhofulm.de/))

It is also practical that the Klosterhof provides clear contact pathways. Those planning a celebration will find the email address, phone number, and the option for table reservations on the website. This facilitates the initial coordination and makes it easier to clarify capacities, food wishes, and time frames. The combination of a historic location, beer garden atmosphere, and regional cuisine is particularly harmonious for events because it does not look arbitrary but also does not seem stiff. In Ulm-Söflingen, this creates a place where one can welcome guests well without having to compromise on good value for money and a relaxed atmosphere. For anyone looking for a restaurant with a beer garden in Ulm that is also suitable for celebrations, the Klosterhof provides a very complete overall picture: large outdoor area, clear kitchen identity, reliable reservation, and an environment that one is happy to recommend. The best Beer garden around Ulm. The atmosphere on a nice sunny day is an A+. I would totally recommend their Flammkuchen with sheep cheese, perfect with a Spritz. When you are with someone, get the Wurstsalat, it's also so good, it has the right taste, not too sour. You will have the best of everything.

Food is very good. The tent is very cool, private and cozy, but I was so cold inside! The heater didn’t heat enough, also no easy way to call the waiter.

With its own brand of beer, this beer garden restaurant is more than a brewery. The restaurant is phenomenal and the winter setup with the igloos is amazing. The best part is the immensely friendly service. I have never had a better night because of the servers than I did at Klosterhof. The only downside might be the higher prices of the new menu, but it's well worth it.

Nice restaurant with an amazing patio. Great for the summer. Good food. Good prices. Make sure to order the Kloster Bier. The portions are large. Seating inside may be a little cramped. But the outside is just so good.
