Culture Center Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Haus | Program & Tickets
The Culture Center Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Haus is the cultural hub of Vöhringen and combines modern, spacious architecture with a clear usage profile for events of all kinds. The city describes the building as architecturally modern, with a large and small hall, gallery, and two foyers; the brochure also mentions a maximum capacity of 567 seats in row seating including the gallery. The building is only about a 15-minute drive from Ulm and Neu-Ulm, making it easily accessible for audiences, artists, and organizers from the region. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
The culture center is named after Wolfgang Eychmüller, the honorary citizen of the city of Vöhringen and former chairman of the board of Wieland-Werke AG. Today, the building is not only a venue but also a place for encounters, culture, and community identity. Particularly defining are the flexible use of space, the integrated restaurant, good accessibility, and the mix of representative impact and practical event logic. This combination makes the house interesting for concerts, musicals, cabaret, fairs, seminars, family celebrations, and club events. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
Events, Upcoming Program, and Tickets
The program of the Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Haus is intentionally broad. The official page describes the mixed subscription as the main pillar of the offering; it includes seven selected events from the areas of concert, musical, drama, comedy, pantomime and dance, opera and operetta, as well as shows. This spectrum is complemented by regularly occurring cabaret evenings, children's and youth theater, and large events for clubs. This variety explains why so many search queries are associated with the terms events, program, and upcoming events. Those looking for a fixed cultural calendar will find not only individual dates here but also a planable, regionally relevant offering. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
Concrete examples of events from the current and recent program also show the range of the venue. The official calendar and program pages list, among others, Hello - A Tribute to Adele for March 7, 2026, David Berlinghof presents: ZAMGLACHT! at the Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Haus, the Spring Fair with Heart, and Snow Queen - the Musical. This mix of tribute show, cabaret, fair format, and family program shows that the house is not limited to a single genre. Those looking for tickets can buy them according to the official page at the City Cultural Office Vöhringen, at ticket offices in Senden and Neu-Ulm, or online via ReserviX; the box office opens one hour before the event starts. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/veranstaltungen/veranstaltungskalender/veranstaltung/hello-a-tribute-to-adele-ein-abend-mit-adele/2026-03-07?cHash=71ddd8a5b3ca514136d0b524c7318402&print=176&utm_source=openai))
It is helpful for visitors that the city prepares its programs seasonally and works with flyers for different periods. This makes it easy to plan whether to attend a specific concert, a family piece, a dance evening, or a fair. Especially for popular formats, an early look at the ticket situation is advisable, as the house is used not only for city cultural evenings but also for clubs, guest performances, and special events. The official ticket route via ReserviX additionally facilitates quick purchases if one wants to avoid waiting in line at the box office. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
Access, Parking, and Accessibility
The culture center is centrally located in Vöhringen and benefits from its proximity to the major centers of Ulm and Neu-Ulm. The city emphasizes that the house is only about a 15-minute drive away, making the location attractive for visitors from the entire Illertal and the surrounding area. In everyday life, this means: short distances, clear connections, and a location that combines urban accessibility with regional radiance. For many search queries related to access and parking, this is the decisive advantage, as the house does not appear as an isolated event island but as a well-integrated meeting point within the urban structure. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
The parking situation is described particularly concretely in the brochure. Visitors can find parking around the culture center at the festival square on the water axis or directly at the Hettstedter Platz in front of the house. For large events or simultaneous operations in the adjacent Josef-Cardijn-Haus, the parking lot of the Wieland Werke can also be used on weekends. This multiple solution is very practical for event guests, as the parking situation can be flexibly alleviated depending on occupancy. Additionally, the adjacent parking lot not only serves as a parking area but can also be used in summer as a venue for open-air events. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/fileadmin/Stadt_Voehringen/Redaktion/Kulturzentrum/Downloads/Broschuere_WEH_2023.pdf))
The outdoor space is also part of the arrival experience. In July 2001, the building was complemented by an outdoor facility with a water axis, park, and festival square. The benches there invite visitors to linger, and the water axis architecturally connects the culture center to its surroundings. For visitors arriving early, the path thus becomes not only a practical access route but also the first impression of the entire facility. Those who want to orient themselves benefit from the fact that the address is clearly stated on the official page and the city presents the culture center as an easily findable event location with well-utilizable parking options. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
Room Plan, Seating, and Spaces
When searching for the room plan or seating plan, the Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Haus is particularly interesting due to its flexible room structure. The official page mentions a large hall, a small hall, a gallery, and two foyers; the brochure adds that the large hall offers a maximum of 567 seats in row seating including the gallery. At the same time, the city describes the house as having around 600 seats in the large hall. These two figures are consistent: the location is large enough for guest performances and audience events, yet flexible enough to accommodate different seating arrangements and uses. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
The area specifications show why the house is so versatile for organizers. The large hall with the small hall encompasses 440 square meters, the large hall alone 310 square meters, the small hall 130 square meters, and the gallery 170 square meters. Additionally, there are exhibition areas in the upper foyer of about 300 square meters and in the lower foyer of about 100 square meters. The city also provides seating plans for various configurations, including table seating, parliamentary arrangement, and combinations of hall and gallery. This makes the house suitable not only for classic stage situations but also for fairs, lectures, workshops, and presentations with varying numbers of participants. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
The official description explicitly emphasizes the strength of flexible use. With a mobile partition, the hall can be completely reduced in size or only partially separated, and the two bright foyers can be included in events or used separately. This makes the seating plan not just a static sketch but a real planning tool for different formats. For example, those organizing a gala, a corporate presentation, a wedding, or a club event can tailor the house to the respective number of guests and dramaturgy. This is also helpful for visitors, as the spatial atmosphere can feel very different depending on the event without losing clarity in the location. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/fileadmin/Stadt_Voehringen/Redaktion/Kulturzentrum/Downloads/Broschuere_WEH_2023.pdf))
History and Architecture of the Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Haus
The history of the culture center begins with an urban planning decision. The former cultural center of Vöhringen was the Adlersaal, whose dilapidated building structure ultimately led to its demolition and the construction of a new house. The city council decided on March 14, 1988, to create a new cultural venue that would not only serve as a replacement but become the cultural center of the city and its surroundings. The planning was entrusted to the Munich architectural community Sprenger and Seydel, who designed the building as an architectural work of art and later added the water axis as a link between the Catholic parish church of St. Michael and the new culture center. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
The groundbreaking took place on April 17, 1990, by the then mayor and later district administrator Erich Josef Geßner. After about three and a half years of construction, the new Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Haus was inaugurated on September 15, 1993. The city describes the architecture as a successful interplay of tradition and modernity: the listed main building was not replaced but lovingly restored, remodeled, and complemented by modern, clear forms. This gives the house a special flair that does not resemble a standardized hall but rather a consciously designed cultural monument with its own character. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
The later development of the facility also contributes to its current impact. In July 2001, the outdoor area was complemented by a water axis, park, and festival square, further opening up the grounds and integrating them more strongly into the urban space. This expansion is not merely decorative but functional: it creates areas for lingering, improves the arrival situation, and expands the possibilities for outdoor events. Combined with the central location, the connection to St. Michael's Church, and the architecturally independent building structure, a place is created that brings together city history, contemporary culture, and practical usability. This mixture is one of the reasons why the house is still perceived today as a cultural monument with a special, unique flair. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
Technology, Gastronomy, and Event Services
For organizers, the Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Haus is interesting not only because of the room sizes but also due to its technical equipment. The official page mentions a small passenger elevator with a maximum of 630 kilograms and a large freight elevator with a maximum of 2000 kilograms. The stage has a total area of 100 square meters, a stage portal of 10 meters, a clear height of 4.5 meters, and a stage depth of 7 meters, with a proscenium even 8.80 meters. This is complemented by a lift stage, several stage curtains, and extensive lighting and sound technology, including a digital mixing console, line array systems, wireless microphones, and headsets. This shows that the location is designed for professional productions, touring formats, and more elaborate shows. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
Also behind the stage, the house is well organized. There are two common dressing rooms with seven makeup stations and showers each, as well as two solo dressing rooms, one of which has a shower. Additionally, the large and small halls are air-conditioned, which is an important comfort factor, especially for longer events, summer dates, or sold-out evenings. Furthermore, the city explicitly refers to the technical support by house technicians and the importance of dressing room and seating staff. For guests, this means: the house is not only externally representative but also operationally geared towards professional events. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
Another plus is the gastronomic service. The catering for all rooms is provided by the integrated restaurant in the house, operated by Antonio Malizia and Thanh Nhan Nguyen. The restaurant has 80 seats, a side room with 20 seats, and a beer garden; according to the official page, the gastronomic team also provides individual seating and appropriate decoration. This makes it clear that the culture center not only manages the stage and audience but also thinks about the event experience as a whole. For weddings, celebrations, conferences, or presentations, this is a strong argument, as the spatial effect, catering, and process can be planned from a single source. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
Fairs, Celebrations, and Corporate Events
The Culture Center Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Haus is much more than a classic town hall. The official page explicitly calls it a forum for events of all kinds as well as for conferences, seminars, corporate and project presentations. The list of uses also includes weddings, family celebrations, balls, club and corporate events. In addition, exhibitions and presentations in the foyers are particularly suitable for fairs and smaller industry events. This is exactly why search queries like fair with heart, wedding, conference, or corporate presentation work so well: the house is prepared for different visitor groups and changing usage profiles. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
Particularly convincing is the connection of representative architecture and organizational flexibility. Those planning a show, a ceremonial act, or a podium event in the large hall can include the gallery. Those organizing a fair or exhibition can use the upper and lower foyers as separate or combined spaces. Those bringing a concert or theater production to the stage benefit from the technology, dressing rooms, and good logistics. And those looking for a festive setting for a family celebration or a club anniversary will find a pleasant, connected service in the restaurant and side areas. The house is therefore not only attractive for visitors but especially for organizers who need a location with clear infrastructure and flexible character. ([voehringen.de](https://www.voehringen.de/freizeit-und-erholung/kultur/kulturzentrum?cHash=6ea666303a236b2c0e156620ddfe18f1&print=38))
The program structure also supports this claim. The fact that the city integrates clubs, children's and youth theater, cabaret, and special formats alongside cultural subscriptions and guest performances makes the house a lively meeting point for various target groups. This creates a location advantage: the culture center is not limited to a single audience group but can be staged very differently depending on the season, occasion, and format. For the region of Vöhringen, this is an important cultural anchor, for guests a reliable event location, and for organizers a venue that not only looks good but also functions well in everyday life.

We were at a concert by Tribute to Simon and Garfunkel at the Kulturzentrum Vöhringen last Friday. It was our first time at this cultural center and we were pleasantly surprised from the outside. The cultural center is really great, everything is clean, even the restrooms. I didn't like that you had to check in your jackets/coats at the cloakroom (for 0.50 euros), supposedly because you could hide pyrotechnics. They only told you that upstairs, so you had to turn back. They could have mentioned that at the entrance, and I also wonder what women could be carrying in their bags 😉 The band Tribute to Simon and Garfunkel meets Classic is absolutely worth experiencing 👍

The Vöhringen cultural center is still a contemporary event space. The successful architecture certainly contributes to it, along with the central location. The cultural program of the city of Vöhringen is interesting, but the trade fair events are less so for me. A few years ago, I had the chance to exhibit there myself. It was a perfect setting.

I was there for a concert. The acoustics were great, as was the rest of the venue. Plenty of free parking around the location, would definitely go again 😊
