The association is located in the historic Fort Unterer Eselsberg, which is listed as Works XXXIV of the Federal Fortress Ulm and has its roots in the mid-19th century. This contrast of historical architecture, regional music scene, and uncomplicated club atmosphere makes the place unmistakable. These topics also determine the perception of the location on Google and in search queries around Ulm. Concerts, Tickets, and the Current Program

The most important search interest around FUE Event concerns the current program. The official schedule page lists upcoming events with dates, entry, start times, and ticket information. For 2026 and 2027, the page shows a series of clearly rock-oriented live evenings: Rock Unlimited on 18.04.2026 is already marked as sold out, Wanted follows on 03.10.2026, Mixtape on 17.10.2026, Mantis on 07.11.2026, Schreyner on 21.11.2026, Helter Skelter on 05.12.2026, Overload on 16.01.2027, and Funk that Soul on 13.02.2027. Several dates start at 20:30, with entry usually at 19:30; for Helter Skelter, entry is at 19:00 and start at 20:00. ([fue-event.de](https://www.fue-event.de/termine/))

For visitors, it is not only important what is played, but also how the evenings are organized. The schedule page provides specific advance sale prices and box office prices for several events, such as 22.50 euros for Rock Unlimited in advance without box office, 13 euros in advance and 15 euros at the box office for Wanted, or 17.50 euros in advance and 19.50 euros at the box office for Mixtape. For Mantis, the prices are 10 euros in advance and 12 euros at the box office. This transparent structure is ideal for seekers, as it provides clear orientation even before the visit. At the same time, it shows that FUE Event strongly relies on the classic concert evening with ticket sales and a planable entry situation. The site links directly to ticket providers, making booking easy for guests. ([fue-event.de](https://www.fue-event.de/termine/))

The selection of acts also reveals a lot about the profile of the location. Rock Unlimited stands for classic rock and has been active since 1989 according to the website. Wanted combines 80s and 90s rock with current hits. Mixtape focuses on the great rock songs of the 70s and 80s. Helter Skelter announces classic rock from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Overload plays hard rock, rock, and melodic metal, while Funk that Soul focuses on groove, soul, and funk. This way, FUE Event covers a wide range of audience-friendly live formats that, while stylistically different, all rely on immediate energy and genuine stage presence. For Google searches, this means: Those looking for programs, concert dates, or rock events in Ulm will find a location with a very clear musical DNA. ([fue-event.de](https://www.fue-event.de/bands/?utm_source=openai))

Directions to Fort Unterer Eselsberg

The access to FUE Event is closely linked to its location in Fort Unterer Eselsberg. The address Mähringerweg 75 is located on Eselsberg in Ulm, a district that, according to the city of Ulm, has grown significantly since the 1950s and is now characterized by universities, clinics, research, and residential areas. For visitors, it is helpful to know that the city explicitly names the Multscherschule stop as a reference point when it comes to the Fort Unterer Eselsberg area. The way there leads past the area at the fort and shows that the location is spatially embedded in a grown urban environment. The Unterer Eselsberg also has a direct connection to tram line 2, which significantly simplifies travel by public transport. ([ulm.de](https://www.ulm.de/leben-in-ulm/umwelt-energie-entsorgung/lokale-agenda-ulm-21/unterwegs-in-ulm/eselsberg))

For users searching for directions, address, or public accessibility, this is a central advantage. The Eselsberg is not only a residential and scientific location but also an area with many paths, stops, and transitions between the city and green space. This makes it easy to plan a concert visit at FUE Event using public transport. The city of Ulm describes the surroundings of the fort as part of a circular path that leads past playgrounds and sports fields around the fort. This does not make the location a typical downtown club, but rather an exciting destination that is easily reachable with a short walk or a brief public transport ride. Those who consciously plan their arrival experience the transition from urban everyday life to the historic fortress particularly clearly. Parking at Eselsberg and Practical Visitor Information

When it comes to parking, it is especially important for FUE Event to plan realistically. For the fortress works at Eselsberg, the Friends of the Federal Fortress Ulm point out that there are only a few parking options at the individual works. Therefore, paid parking spaces around the university hospital are recommended, combined with a switch to public transport. This recommendation is particularly relevant when multiple events or a larger influx of visitors are expected. Arriving early reduces stress in finding a spot and allows for a more relaxed arrival at the venue. This is especially sensible for concert evenings with entry starting at 19:30, as the traffic situation can quickly become congested in the evening. ([bundesfestung-ulm.de](https://www.bundesfestung-ulm.de/index.php/71-der-verein/291-tdf-2025?utm_source=openai))

The current development of the surroundings also speaks for a smart travel plan. The city of Ulm has renovated the green area at Fort Unterer Eselsberg, upgrading paths, vegetation areas, and lighting. This shows that the area is not only an event location but also a public green and recreational space. For visitors, this means: The way to the concert leads through an area that is historically significant and at the same time part of an urban recreational space. Those arriving by bus or tram benefit from the fact that Eselsberg is well integrated into the Ulm public transport system. For everyone coming by car, the most important rule remains: do not hope for spontaneous parking miracles, but plan the arrival early and, if possible, rely on parking in more distant areas and then walking or continuing by public transport. ([ulm.de](https://www.ulm.de/aktuelle-meldungen/z%C3%B6a/august-2024/aufwertung-park-unterer-eselsberg-2023-08?utm_source=openai))

Visitors looking for a straightforward evening should also pay attention to the event times. Since several concerts start at 20:30, arriving just before entry is not ideal if one wants to park beforehand, orient themselves on the premises, and arrive relaxed. Therefore, a buffer of at least thirty to forty minutes before entry is practical. This fits well with a venue that focuses more on atmosphere than mass processing. FUE Event is not an anonymous large parking lot club, but a place with historical structure and limited space. That is why good visitor planning is part of the experience. ([fue-event.de](https://www.fue-event.de/termine/))

Local Bands and the Club Profile of FUE Event

A central feature of FUE Event is the clear focus on local and regional bands. On the homepage, the association describes itself as a group on the old Eselsberg that wants to give local bands a stage. This self-description is important because it distinguishes the character of the location from many other venues. FUE Event does not primarily see itself as a commercial large operation, but as a cultural enabler for live music from the region. This is also reflected in the explicitly described family atmosphere: The association emphasizes that guests and bands form a music family and that new faces are always welcome. This makes it clear that the social aspect is at least as important as the pure concert program. ([fue-event.de](https://www.fue-event.de/))

The band page impressively underscores this profile. There are formations like Rock Unlimited, Wanted, Mixtape, Overload, Helter Skelter, Schreyner, Jesus George, Gary unplugged, Blues Breakers, Funk that Soul, Black Hornet, and other acts. The styles range from classic rock to hard rock and melodic metal to funk, soul, blues, and unplugged formats. This diversity shows that FUE Event has a clear focus on guitar-oriented live music but does not limit itself to a single subgenre. Instead, a diverse yet coherent program emerges that relies on handmade music, stage energy, and regional connection. For search queries like local bands Ulm, rock concert Ulm, or cultural association Ulm, this is exactly the kind of profile that works well. ([fue-event.de](https://www.fue-event.de/bands/?utm_source=openai))

Particularly interesting is the mix of experience and closeness. Some bands are presented on the site as long-standing projects with a lot of stage experience, while others are lively formations with a strong live character. This fits with the club logic of FUE Event, as here the smooth image is not in the foreground, but authenticity and direct enthusiasm for music. The association itself emphasizes that despite different musical tastes, they are connected through a shared love for instruments and genuine stage work. This is a valuable signal for visitors: Those who come here can expect a program that is thought out from the scene and not just curated for external usability. ([fue-event.de](https://www.fue-event.de/))

Technology, Drink Menu, and Atmosphere in the Historic Fort

In addition to the program, equipment and atmosphere play a significant role at FUE Event. On the homepage, the association highlights that the lighting technology at the location has been further developed, and a stable console for the lighting technicians has been set up. This detail is not insignificant for a concert venue, as it directly shapes the impression of an evening. Good lighting technology means better stage impact, more dynamics, and a more harmonious interplay of music and space. That FUE Event does not take this infrastructure for granted but actively works on it and mentions external support shows the practical, communal character of the operation. The venue is thus not only a stage but also a lively club project. ([fue-event.de](https://www.fue-event.de/))

The drink menu additionally provides a pretty clear picture of the visit experience. Offerings include GO Hell, wheat beer, crystal wheat beer, Jever, Becks non-alcoholic, Radler, Uli, glass of wine, sparkling wine, spritzer, bottle of wine, water, coffee, various schnapps, Jacky Cola, Cuba Libre, gin and tonic, Aperol Spritz, and cocktails. This selection is typical for a place that does not want to lure its guests with a huge menu but with a concentrated offering for the concert evening. This fits with the club and live music culture, where the focus is clearly on music, conversations, and shared experiences. Those looking for practical information will quickly find that FUE Event has a simple, functional, yet diverse bar operation. ([fue-event.de](https://www.fue-event.de/getraenkekarte/))

Together with the location in the old fort, this creates an atmosphere that cannot be artificially manufactured. Historical walls, regional bands, manageable size, personal address, and a drink selection for the evening: This mixture defines the location. Many visitors appreciate such places because they feel closer to the band, perceive the space more consciously, and experience the evening less as an anonymous event but more as an encounter. The word encounter in the association's name is therefore not just decorative, but describes the functioning of the place quite well. FUE Event is a place for music, but also for contact, reunion, and exchange among people who want to share live music rather than just consume it. ([fue-event.de](https://www.fue-event.de/))

The History of Fort Unterer Eselsberg

The historical backdrop is an essential part of the FUE Event brand. Fort Unterer Eselsberg, also referred to as Works XXXIV, is according to LEO-BW a fortification and defense facility built or founded between 1848 and 1856. Thus, the place is part of the history of the Federal Fortress Ulm and is not just an ordinary event building. Its function as a military facility has naturally receded into the background today, but the architectural origin continues to strongly shape the character of the site. Those who attend a concert here move through a space where history has remained visible. This creates an allure that modern event halls often cannot offer. ([leo-bw.de](https://www.leo-bw.de/web/guest/detail-gis/-/Detail/details/DOKUMENT/lad_denkmale/102134412/Fort%20Unterer%20Eselsberg%20Werk%20XXXIV%20M%C3%A4hringer%20Weg%2075-1%20Ulm))

Moreover, the fort and its surroundings have long become part of urban everyday life. The city of Ulm describes the area as a public green space with paths, playgrounds, and recreational functions. This intertwines historical substance with leisure use and cultural work. The location is thus not only a monument but also a place to stay, a route, and a meeting point. For FUE Event, this is a significant advantage, as the location derives its identity from this multifunctionality: historical site, club space, concert stage, and local anchor point at the same time. This also explains why the name of the fort is directly associated with events and concerts in many search queries. ([ulm.de](https://www.ulm.de/aktuelle-meldungen/z%C3%B6a/august-2024/aufwertung-park-unterer-eselsberg-2023-08?utm_source=openai))

Other sources on the Federal Fortress Ulm also make it clear that Fort Unterer Eselsberg is part of a larger historical system that remains visible in the city to this day. The Friends of the Federal Fortress Ulm explain that the works at Eselsberg come from various construction phases and that the use of the forts continues to this day. This lively use is particularly interesting for visitors: FUE Event does not stand in isolation but is part of a longer history of the civilian appropriation of former fortification buildings. From military architecture, a space for culture has emerged. This transformation makes the location culturally valuable and ensures that concerts here are more than just a program point. They take place in a place that tells a story beyond the music. ([bundesfestung-ulm.de](https://www.bundesfestung-ulm.de/index.php/71-der-verein/291-tdf-2025?utm_source=openai))

They take place in a place that tells a story beyond the music. ([bundesfestung-ulm.de](https://www.bundesfestung-ulm.de/index.php/71-der-verein/291-tdf-2025?utm_source=openai))

After a very long time, I finally visited the Fort Unterer Eselsberg yesterday for the event. It started off really well with free parking right on site. Of course, these spaces are limited, and later in the evening you might have to park a bit further away at the Multscher School. The building is clean and brightly lit, and there's a bar where you can sit and watch the live stage on large monitors. That's fantastic service, something I haven't seen anywhere else. In the next room is the live stage with a great, permanently installed light show, operated by a very competent person at the lighting console. They even included fog, creating the perfect event atmosphere. We also had a great sound engineer who did a fantastic job mixing the sound in the somewhat challenging vaulted space. It was a perfect evening, from the cocktails to the music, the lighting, the friendly people, and all at a very reasonable price. I'd like to sincerely thank you for offering such a wonderful place. Keep up the great work! One small suggestion: A covered area (for example, with a pavilion) for smokers, so they don't have to stand right by the entrance, would be a great improvement.

Cool location, old castle walls but renovated. We were there for a concert. The staff were totally relaxed. I'd gladly come back anytime. Unfortunately, there's no food on offer, but whatever, it was awesome!
