Tipping Points in Ulm: Dance Between Balance and Free Fall

On Thursday, October 22, 2026, the audience in the Great Hall of the Theater Ulm will experience the premiere of Tipping Points. Dance theater director Annett Göhre and the dance theater company focus on the seconds when something becomes unstable and a new path begins.

When the Body Becomes Unbalanced

Inclination, tension, and movement define this poetic choreographic experiment. The dancers explore what balance feels like, when a body tips, and whether a seeming fall can even turn into a flight. Breath, dynamics, and gravity merge into an intense event experience.

A Dance Theater About Turning Points

Tipping Points directs attention to special moments in life: relationships at a crossroads, career changes, and the courage to leave familiar securities behind. On stage, this becomes an impressive kaleidoscope of body images, energy, and deliberately set movement impulses.

High Voltage in the Great Hall

The premiere marks the start of the dance theater season 2026/27. A trampoline measuring four by six meters expands the stage area and enhances the play with jumping, falling, and weightlessness. The event management of the Theater Ulm combines choreographic precision with a strong audience engagement for dance enthusiasts, theater fans, and curious first-time visitors.

Live Introduction Before the Performance

The performance starts at 7:30 PM. A live introduction will not take place at this premiere date; for further performances, it is partially scheduled 30 minutes before the start. The event takes place in the interior of the Great Hall.

Conclusion: Tipping Points promises an evening full of physical tension, poetic images, and surprising movement moments. Those who want to experience dance theater up close and feel the moment between uncertainty and departure will find an extraordinary event experience at the Theater Ulm.
