Kirtan and Aarti: Joint Singing and Healing Light in Neu-Ulm

When voices unite in the mantra and the sound of harmonium and drum fills the space, a special faith experience arises. The evening at Sri Neem Karoli Baba Mandir in Neu-Ulm invites to a spiritual community where joint singing, inner collection, and the acknowledgment of the Divine come together.

Mantra, Music, and Bhakti Yoga

Kirtan is part of the spiritual practice of Bhakti Yoga, the path of devotion. Participants follow the singer's lead and allow themselves to be guided inward by the recurring Indian mantras. The interplay of voice, harmonium, and drum creates a calm yet lively atmosphere and opens space for reflection, meditation, and personal religious experience.

An Indian Light Ceremony to Conclude

After the singing of Kirtan, the Aarti follows. In this Indian light ceremony, the Divine is honored with light and prayer. The transition from the slow mantra singing to the ceremonial Aarti gives the evening a clear liturgical dramaturgy and connects individual spirituality with communal faith practice.

Evening Schedule

Entry begins at 7:00 PM. From 7:30 to 8:30 PM, the joint Kirtan is the focus. At 8:30 PM, the Aarti begins; at 9:00 PM, the Baba Mandir closes. Registration is not required for this evening. The contribution is 7 euros and serves to maintain the Ashram.

A Place for Spiritual Community

Sri Neem Karoli Baba Mandir is a spiritual place of the Durgamayi Ma Ashram e.V. in Neu-Ulm. The event is aimed at people who want to get to know Bhakti Yoga, sing mantras in community or find a quiet access to prayer and spirituality. Prior knowledge is not required for participation.

An evening with Kirtan and Aarti brings sound, collection, and a sense of inner connection. Those who want to not just read about this religious experience but live it can find in Baba Mandir a welcoming space for singing, light, and shared pause.
