Durga Puja in Neu-Ulm: An Evening of Prayer and Devotion
When the lights of the Aarti are lit at the Sri Neem Karoli Baba Mandir, a special space for reflection, prayer, and spiritual community is created. The Durga Puja on October 16, 2026, invites believers and those interested to celebrate the victory of Goddess Durga over Mahisha, the demon of ignorance and indifference, in a traditional Hindu festival.
Kirtan, Darshan, and Lived Spirituality
The evening begins with the opening of the ashram at 7:00 PM. From 7:30 PM, Kirtan and Darshan with Ma will be the focus. The devotional singing creates an atmosphere of gathering, while Darshan is experienced as a spiritual encounter and moment of inner alignment. The celebration connects religious experience, Bhakti, and communal living.
Aarti as a Radiant Highlight
At 8:30 PM, the Aarti follows. In the glow of the light, attention is directed towards the divine presence and the power of devotion, compassion, and inner clarity. The Durga Puja forms the conclusion and highlight of the nine-day Navaratri festival, celebrated in India and worldwide.
An Open Place for Faith and Encounter
The Sri Neem Karoli Baba Mandir in Neu-Ulm is a place of contemplation, spiritual practice, and encounter. The ashram was opened in 2021 in honor of Sri Neem Karoli Baba and serves as a meeting point for Satsang and religious community. Participation in the Durga Puja is open to all interested. Registration is not required but helps the ashram with preparations.
Celebrate Together and Experience the Evening Consciously
The event ends at 9:30 PM. All contributions go towards the maintenance of both ashrams. Visitors can expect a concentrated evening with Kirtan, Darshan, Aarti, and an experiential atmosphere of Hindu spirituality. Those who experience Durga Puja live encounter a celebration that impressively connects religious tradition, devotion, and community.
