WORLD ANTHEMS: Many Voices, One Common Sound
On Sunday, November 8, 2026, the Kornhaus in Ulm will transform into a resonance space for diversity, freedom, and community. At the concert WORLD ANTHEMS, four choirs and an orchestra will come together to perform anthems from different cultures, traditions, and sound worlds on stage.
Choral Music as a Sounding Sign of Connection
At the center are anthems in the broadest sense: music that makes cultural identity audible and at the same time builds bridges between people. The concert's dramaturgy connects themes such as solidarity, joy of life, openness, and the courage to be oneself. This creates a musical panorama that transcends national borders.
Four Choirs and an Orchestra at Kornhaus
Participating are the concert choir Klangreich, the choral community Dettingen and Heuchlingen, the choir of the University of Applied Sciences Ulm, and the KreisChor Iller-Roth-Günz. The vocal body is complemented by the orchestra AG Heimatklänge. Under the artistic direction of Markus Romes, multi-voiced choral arrangements, orchestral timbres, and different musical traditions will meet.
Acoustics, Dynamics, and Emotional Stage Performance
The historic Kornhaus, with its unique architecture and excellent acoustics, provides an impressive setting for the choral concert. When the voices merge into large soundscapes and the orchestra expands the musical movement, an intense live atmosphere arises, alternating between festive openings, powerful synchronizations, and quiet moments of reflection.
A Concert about Freedom and Community
WORLD ANTHEMS focuses on what makes people unique and at the same time connects them. The musical journey tells of cultural diversity, democratic culture of life, and the joy of shared experiences. Especially in the interplay of the choirs lies the unique impact of this concert experience: Different voices remain independent while forming a common overall sound.
Conclusion: Music that Resonates Across Borders
Visitors can expect a festive choral concert with orchestra, international sound worlds, and a clear message for openness and solidarity. Those who want to experience the special energy of great voices, orchestral richness, and shared live atmosphere should not miss WORLD ANTHEMS at Kornhaus Ulm.
