Organ Sound and Word: The Perfect Mixture Returns to Wiblingen
A special evening for music lovers awaits the audience on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in the Basilica of St. Martin in Ulm-Wiblingen. At the seventh edition of The Perfect Mixture – Welcome Back, two organs will enter into an impressive musical dialogue, accompanied by impulses on the theme of love.
Two Organs, One Extraordinary Acoustic Space
The historical choir organ from 1974 and the main organ from 2021 bring their characteristic tonal colors together into the church. The choir organ features 30 stops, two manuals, and a pedal. The main organ offers 54 stops, three manuals, and a pedal.
In the wide-open space of the basilica, an intense sound experience unfolds: powerful chords, delicate musical lines, and long reverberation colors combine to create an atmospheric blend of organ music and spiritual impulse.
Music Meets Impulses on the Theme of Love
Wolfgang Treß plays the choir organ, while Sarah Scharpf takes the main organ. The program is complemented by impulses from Dean Ulrich Kloos. This creates a varied evening that combines musical precision with personal reflection.
Free Admission in the Basilica of St. Martin
The event begins at 5:00 PM and is expected to last until 6:00 PM. Admission is free, and donations are welcome. This makes the event a low-threshold access to high-quality organ music, cultural encounters, and a special concert experience in the basilica.
Conclusion
The Perfect Mixture – Welcome Back connects two organs, three participants, and an extraordinary church space to create an atmospheric concert experience. Those who wish to experience organ music, spiritual impulses, and atmospheric sound spaces live will find a special musical evening in Wiblingen on October 18, 2026.
