Young Mastery and Rare String Instruments in Vöhringen
On Saturday, October 17, 2026, the cultural center Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Haus in Vöhringen will transform into a meeting point for classical music and musical youth promotion. The scholar concert of the Albert Eckstein Foundation presents highly gifted young musicians who will showcase their skills on selected string instruments from the foundation.
A Concert Evening with a Special Sound Character
Under the artistic direction of Alexander Grotov, a multifaceted concert experience emerges, combining solo precision, chamber musical transparency, and orchestral richness. Grotov is the principal player of the Louis Spohr Chamber Orchestra and a member of the State Orchestra of Kassel. At the piano, Tamilla Guliyeva accompanies the young talents with sensitive playing and a keen sense for musical synchronisation.
Instruments with History and Future
The Albert Eckstein Foundation was founded in 2005 by Rolf Eckstein and bears the name of his father, Albert Eckstein. The violinist, who came from a family of musicians, lived in Vöhringen since 1935 and built an impressive collection of string instruments. Today, the foundation provides these valuable instruments to exceptionally talented young musicians from around the world.
Talents at the Center
The concert evening includes the cellists Zeljko and Dragos Tamburic as well as the just 15-year-old violinist Viktoria Höck from Burlafingen. Their performance combines youthful energy with a focused stage presence. The audience experiences how historical instruments acquire a new sound language through fresh interpretations, differentiated articulation, and vibrant dynamics.
Audience Atmosphere in the Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Haus
The acoustics of the cultural center create space for delicate string colors as well as powerful climaxes. Between the warm cello tones, bright violin lines, and precise conducting, an immediate live atmosphere develops. Previous concerts of the foundation in Vöhringen were supported by a large audience and made the performances significant events in the regional cultural life.
Conclusion: Classical Music Live and Close
The scholar concert of the Albert Eckstein Foundation combines musical excellence, youth promotion, and the special aura of historical string instruments. Anyone wanting to experience young talents, demanding orchestration, and intense concert moments should discover this evening live at the Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Haus.
