Mina Richman brings honest Indie Soul to Ulm

On November 6, 2026, Café Aegis in Ulm will transform into an intimate concert venue for Mina Richman's Different Flavours of Being Happy Tour. The queer German-Iranian artist combines soul, folk, and hip-hop with personal lyrics about identity, growing up, body, love, and societal expectations.

Between Soul, Folk, and Hip-Hop

Mina Richman's music thrives on contrasts: warm voices meet direct lyrics, organic band sounds collide with modern rhythmic impulses. Together with Friedrich Schnorr from Carolsfeld, Alexander Mau, and Leon Brames, she developed a versatile sound that incorporates blues and soul traditions as well as contemporary folk and hip-hop.

A Voice with Attitude

Her debut EP Jaywalker was released in 2022 and earned her a nomination for the PopNRW Award for Best Newcomer. The debut album Grown Up followed in 2024 with the Ladies&Ladys label. The song Baba Said was widely shared during the protests in Iran and highlighted how closely Richman connects musical expression with solidarity and human rights.

Live Atmosphere at Café Aegis

At Café Aegis, the audience can expect a close-knit concert experience with a direct audience vibe. The intimate room acoustics create ideal conditions for expressive singing, precise synchronization between band and voice, and a stage performance that prioritizes encounters over distance.
