Marco Tamayo brings the classical guitar to shine
On Friday, October 23, 2026, the EinsteinHaus in Ulm will transform into a concert venue for exquisite classical guitar music. Marco Tamayo, the Cuban guitarist with Austrian citizenship, presents an exclusive guitar concert at Club Orange, combining international stage experience with exceptional musical precision.
Virtuosity of international rank
The international press refers to Marco Tamayo as the king of the guitar. The multiple award-winning soloist has won over 20 international competitions and has performed worldwide with prominent orchestras and conductors. His concert activities have taken him to renowned stages, while his extensive repertoire encompasses various styles of classical guitar literature.
Between timbres and perfect synchronization
At the center is the unmistakable sound of a masterfully played concert guitar: warm basses, precise articulation, and finely graduated dynamics. Tamayo's stage performance thrives on a controlled striking culture, a clear musical line, and the sensitive synchronization of technique and expression. Every phrase is given space, and every nuance contributes to the evening's drama.
From child prodigy to sought-after educator
Marco Tamayo began playing the guitar at the age of three. By six years old, he was considered a musical prodigy, and at ten, he embarked on his first international tour of Europe. Today, he is a professor of guitar at the University of the Arts Berlin and also serves as a juror, artistic director, composer, arranger, and specialist author.
A concert in the spirit of the masterclass
The concert is connected to the masterclasses taking place in Ulm on October 24 and 25. Participants of the masterclasses receive free admission to the concert. This connects the evening's immediate concert experience with musical exchange and the transfer of expertise on interpretation, technique, and classical guitar literature.
Conclusion: Experience classical guitar up close
The audience can expect a focused and sound-intensive concert experience with an internationally renowned guitarist. Those who want to experience the expressiveness of the classical guitar, virtuosic stage performance, and vibrant live atmosphere in close proximity should not miss this evening at EinsteinHaus.
