Garage rock, shoegaze, and post-punk with free entry in Ulm
On Friday, October 23, 2026, the Student Café Ulm will transform into an intense live stage for guitar music: Schöfisch & Rueß, Strange Noise, and Schöngedüst will bring garage rock, shoegaze, noiserock, and post-punk to the stage. Admission is free.
Dirty garage rock from Ulm
Schöfisch & Rueß stand for a direct, unpolished sound between lo-fi blues, garage rock, and sixties beat. The duo combines guitar, drums, and vocals into a concentrated stage performance that leads straight into the song without detours. Creaking guitars, driving rhythms, and an immediate live atmosphere characterize the beginning of the evening.
Shoegaze meets noiserock
Strange Noise from Esslingen continues the evening with expansive sound colors and powerful dynamics. Shoegaze and noiserock meet as dense walls of guitars, feedback, and rhythmic synchronization fill the space. The concert experience thrives on the contrast between floating acoustics and eruptive energy.
Post-punk with emotional tension
Schöngedüst from Aalen complements the program with post-punk characterized by its atmosphere. Angular arrangements, distinctive bass lines, and a darker sound aesthetic create a thrilling contrast to the other two acts. This results in a varied lineup that connects different facets of alternative guitar music.
Live music in the Student Café
Doors open at 9:00 PM, and the concert is scheduled to begin at 10:00 PM. The Student Café is located at Stuttgarter Straße 15 in Ulm and is known for its volunteer-run cultural program and free concerts. The intimate club atmosphere creates short distances between the stage and the audience and makes every audience mood immediately palpable.
