dIRE sTRATS brings Dire Straits classics live to Vöhringen

The legendary Dire Straits sound returns live to Vöhringen

On Friday, November 13, 2026, dIRE sTRATS will bring the distinctive sound of Dire Straits to the Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Haus. The tribute band is one of the most booked Dire Straits formations in Europe, combining faithful arrangements with a powerful 100 percent live performance.

Mark Knopfler's guitar sound at the center

At the center is Wolfgang Uhlich, founder, singer, and lead guitarist of the band. His virtuosic fingerpicking is inspired by the unmistakable playing style of Mark Knopfler, giving classics like Sultans of Swing, Walk of Life, and Brothers in Arms their distinctive timbre. The fine dynamics between subtle groove, melodic guitar lines, and a powerful stage performance shape the concert experience.

800 concerts of stage experience

dIRE sTRATS has established itself firmly in the German music landscape with around 800 concerts. The band also won a nationwide tribute contest in Koblenz, in which 100 tribute bands participated. This experience is reflected in precise synchronization, meticulously crafted arrangements, and a sound that reaches both long-time Dire Straits fans and new listeners.

Live atmosphere with rock history

The music of Dire Straits is one of the defining chapters of rock history. Albums like Brothers in Arms and live releases like Alchemy made melodic guitar rock known worldwide. In Vöhringen, this creates an immediate live atmosphere: clear guitar tones, striking rhythms, and an audience mood that alternates between nostalgic memories and fresh concert energy.

An evening for connoisseurs and explorers

The program focuses on the great classics and the versatility of the musicians. The elaborate orchestration of the songs, the precise conducting of the dynamics, and the technically demanding stage performance make the evening a musical journey through the Dire Straits cosmos.

Conclusion: Visitors can expect an authentic tribute concert with Mark Knopfler-inspired guitar sound, well-known Dire Straits classics, and the energy of an experienced live band. Those who want to experience the sound of Sultans of Swing and Brothers in Arms up close should see dIRE sTRATS live in Vöhringen on November 13, 2026.
