Poetry, Groove and Energy: Christina Lux & Oliver George live in Blaubeuren
On Saturday, October 17, 2026, Christina Lux and Oliver George will perform at the Kleinkunst-Café Zum fröhlichen Nix in Blaubeuren. Starting at 8 PM, the duo combines poetic songwriting with warm soul, fine folk, rhythmic tension, and an immediate live atmosphere. The evening is themed Poetry, Groove & Energy.
Two Voices, Many Tones
Christina Lux has been part of the German singer-songwriter scene for decades. Her warm voice, her distinctive guitar playing, and her vivid lyrics come together with the versatile stage performance of Oliver George. On guitar, drums, vocals, and additional sounds, George enhances the arrangements with great musical precision.
Intimate Songs with Powerful Sound
The concert thrives on the interplay between reduced moments and surprising musical expansiveness. Voice and guitar initially open the space almost chamber-music-like, before groove, percussive accents, and careful synchronization unleash new energy. The orchestration remains transparent and allows every nuance of the two musicians to be heard.
Musical Journey with Awards
Christina Lux and Oliver George have known each other since their time in a rock band and have been working closely together again for many years. Since 2017, they have been performing live as a duo. Their joint album Leise Bilder received the German Record Critics' Award in 2018. Lichtblicke followed in 2021, and in 2023 the live double album Live deLUXe was released.
Throughout her career, Christina Lux has worked with Laith Al-Deen, Purple Schulz, Jon Lord, Stoppok, and Fury in the Slaughterhouse, and has toured with Paul Young, Tuck & Patti, Long John Baldry, and Status Quo. This experience shapes an evening of music that combines expertise with closeness, humor, and human warmth.
An Evening for Attentive Listeners
In the Kleinkunst-Café Zum fröhlichen Nix, the duo unfolds its special strength: direct audience engagement, clear acoustics, and songs that resonate between melancholy, hope, and joy of life. The result is not a smoothly polished large event, but an intense concert experience with handmade music and lively stage communication.
