Canadian Brass and Posaunenchor Ulm: Brass Art with Full Sound Power
On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, international brass virtuosity and regional church music will meet at the Edwin-Scharff-Haus in Neu-Ulm. Canadian Brass presents a versatile concert program as part of the Amazing Brass European tour, performing together with the host Posaunenchor Ulm.
Virtuosity Meets Shared Stage Energy
Canadian Brass stands for precise intonation, brilliant sound colors, and a stage performance that is both technically challenging and entertaining. The five musicians blend classical repertoire, modern brass aesthetics, and a pointed live atmosphere into a concert experience with a wide stylistic range.
Professionals and Amateur Ensemble in Musical Dialogue
What makes this concert evening special is the collaborative music-making: Unlike the guest performance in January 2025, the professional musicians from Canadian Brass and the amateurs from Posaunenchor Ulm will share the stage. This brings together international top music and a long-established evangelical amateur ensemble that is firmly rooted in regional church music.
A Brass Sound Between Precision and Joy of Playing
The lineup of Canadian Brass includes Joe Burgstaller and Mikio Sasaki on trumpets, Jeff Nelsen on horn, Keith Dyrda on trombone, and Chuck Daellenbach on tuba. The interplay promises powerful tutti, distinctive solo passages, and finely tuned orchestration, where each brass instrument unfolds its own character.
Concert Experience in the Large Hall
The large hall of the Edwin-Scharff-Haus provides the perfect setting for the dynamic sound worlds of the ensemble. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the concert starts at 8:00 PM. The concert is seated, and the venue is described as easily accessible.
Canadian Brass returns to Neu-Ulm after the acclaimed performance in January 2025. The collaboration with Posaunenchor Ulm creates a special concert evening that makes the entire range of brass music audible – from engaged amateur music to international top class.
Conclusion: Live Brass Music in All Its Diversity
Visitors can expect an energetic evening full of sound precision, musical synchronization, and shared stage moments. Anyone wishing to experience brass music in its virtuosic, festive, and immediately tangible form should enjoy this concert live at Edwin-Scharff-Haus.
