Michael Moravek and Electric Traveling Show: Americana with Historical Depth
On Friday, October 16, 2026, Michael Moravek and the Electric Traveling Show will perform at Café Aegis in Ulm. The concert evening combines poetic songwriting, Americana, folk, and indie rock with an extraordinary historical narrative: The focus is on the Georg Elser Year 2026.
Georg Elser as a Musical Center
Michael Moravek dedicates a comprehensive musical work to the Swabian art joiner Georg Elser. In 1939, Elser almost changed the course of history with his assassination attempt. The songs were originally created for the stage play 13 Minutes – How Georg Elser Almost Changed the World and were recorded together with the Electric Traveling Show for the album GEORG.
Reduced Sound, Strong Texts
Moravek's music thrives on a clear, transparent sound language. Guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, and strings merge into a restrained orchestration where the texts and the human perspective take center stage. His Americana songs carry influences from folk, indie rock, and classic songwriter pop.
Live Atmosphere Between Intimacy and Tension
The stage performance of Michael Moravek and Electric Traveling Show arises from musical synchronization and attentive interplay. Band members come from jazz and avant-garde; nonverbal communication within the ensemble shapes the sound. Thus, each concert develops into a unique concert experience, supported by audience mood, narrative intensity, and a warm, direct live sound.
An Important Album in 2026
GEORG was released on April 10, 2026, by the Regensburg label TYXart in connection with the anniversary of Georg Elser's death. The album marks Moravek's first German-language complete work and was nominated for the annual prize of the German Record Critics. Previously, the album Night Songs received attention in the music press and was also nominated for the annual prize of the German Record Critics.
