When Life Suddenly Has a Historical License Plate

Uli Boettcher takes his audience on a comical yet brutally honest journey through the pitfalls of aging on Friday, November 6, 2026. In the Biergarten Teutonia in Ulm, the cabaret artist dissects in his new program Ü60 – Life Takes Revenge the small catastrophes of everyday life, the big questions of existence, and the moment when one's own car suddenly seems more historically valuable than one's future plans.

Stand-up with Self-Irony and a Sharp Eye

Every ten years, Uli Boettcher takes stock: of the world, his fellow beings, and himself. However, this does not result in a heavy drama of aging but rather a pointed laugh experience filled with self-irony. Children become insurance agents, one's own parents seek orientation, and seemingly entrenched beliefs are shaken up considerably.

Boettcher's humor thrives on precise observation, strong timing, and a stage presence that turns everyday situations into cabaret hits. His comedy remains close to life, while the punchlines reliably land where the audience has just managed to overlook their own biography.

The Comedy Atmosphere of the Ü60 Generation

The program focuses on the absurd, funny, and surprisingly beautiful aspects of aging. There is a gap between external perception and self-image, which Boettcher illuminates with dry humor, fine irony, and great joy of performance. A historical license plate becomes a philosophical question, and a family visit turns into a small societal analysis.

His style combines stand-up, cabaret, and narrative stage art. The interaction with the audience arises from shared experiences: everyone knows the moment when technology, body, or family members suddenly set their own rules.
