Ralph Ruthe brings cartoon madness to the stage with RUTHE LIVE

When everyday life is already crazy enough, it takes a cartoonist with laser focus and perfect timing. Ralph Ruthe presents his new live show RUTHE LIVE – SHIT HAPPENS – THE (NEW) SHOW at ROXY Ulm, blending cartoons, animations, readings, and music into an unusual laughter experience.

Stand-up meets cartoons, animation, and music

For this evening, Ralph Ruthe steps away from the screen and takes the audience directly into his world of humor and characters. The show thrives on pointed observations of daily life, political references, visual gags, and a stage presence that effortlessly transforms a single image into a complete comedy scene.

The program includes new episodes from successful series like Flossen, HNO-WG, Biber und Baum, as well as popular advertising parodies. Additionally, there will be world premieres of brand new content – an evening for everyone who enjoys dark, intelligent, and delightfully absurd humor.

Punchlines with sharp imagery and perfect timing

Ruthe masters the short punchline like few others: a glance, a sentence, or a small movement is enough, and the everyday situation shifts into the wonderfully absurd. The comedy atmosphere is created not only through spoken texts but also through projections, animations, music, and the precise connection of stage technology and live interaction.

His cartoons have appeared for years in newspapers, magazines, and on screens in public spaces. Ralph Ruthe is also known for his appearances on TV TOTAL and the show Sträter. For his series SHIT HAPPENS!, he received the Sondermann Award from the Frankfurt Book Fair four times in a row from 2005 to 2008 in the cartoon category.

ROXY Ulm becomes a workshop of laughter

On Friday, October 23, 2026, the show begins at 8:00 PM in the workshop hall of ROXY Ulm. Doors open at 7:00 PM. The audience can expect a seated comedy event with visual surprises, new cartoons, and the typical Ruthe mix of observation, satire, and charming nonsense.

Those who queue after the show can look forward to a special encore: Ralph Ruthe will create personally signed drawings for those waiting. A souvenir that lasts much longer than the good intention to not burst out laughing at the next cartoon.

Conclusion: Live comedy for cartoon fans and punchline hunters

RUTHE LIVE promises an evening full of laughter, visual punchlines, and surprising perspectives on the everyday madness. Those who love Ralph Ruthe's cartoons or want to discover intelligent multimedia comedy will experience a show at ROXY Ulm with its own style, high pace, and plenty of recognition value.
