Joke Busters: When eight comedians throw their punchlines into cold water
On Friday, November 6, 2026, the student café in Ulm will become a comedic test lab. At Joke Busters, up to eight emerging comedians will take the microphone and test their latest jokes directly in front of an audience. Admission is free, and the laughter muscles only pay with a bit of soreness.
Open Mic with a surprise factor
Open Mic comedy thrives on the immediate moment: A line hits, the audience reaction rolls through the room, and that special comedy atmosphere emerges that no streaming service can replace. At Joke Busters, different styles of humor, fresh punchlines, and spontaneous stage moments collide.
Stand-up, timing, and new jokes
Up to eight comedians will bring their current ideas to the stage. This means stand-up up close, changing timing, and interaction with the audience. Some gags land as precisely as a well-placed counter, while others take a surprising turn. This is exactly what makes an Open Mic night so enticing: Nobody knows in advance which line will become the favorite joke of the evening.
Comedy night at the student café
The student café offers its characterful ambiance as the perfect setting for an evening filled with stage light, drinks, and loud laughter. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the show starts at 8:00 PM. There will be time until about 10:00 PM for new voices from the comedy scene and a varied laughter experience.
Conclusion: Free admission, full punchline load
Joke Busters promises a lively stand-up evening with emerging talents, surprising jokes, and direct audience interaction. Anyone who enjoys comedy where punchlines are still tested, sharpened, and sometimes hilariously hit the wall, should not miss this free evening at the student café.
